Finally! We were starting to believe it wasn't going to happen.

Edit: As of December 7, 2017, Tsuta Philippines has not confirmed the opening date. We have reached out to Tsuta for a comment.

Edit 2: We’ve corrected the opening date to December 16 after receiving a clarification from one of Tsuta’s representatives.

It’s been hyped since late 2016, and now we have an opening date!

Earlier today, Our Awesome Planet revealed that the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen house is opening its first branch in the Philippines on December 16, 2017. It will be located at C3 Upper Ground Floor, Bonifacio High Street Central, Bonifacio Global City. The franchise was brought here by Foodee Global Concepts, the same people behind Todd English Food Hall and Tim Ho Wan.

Tsuta is known for offering light and clear shio, shoyu, and miso-based soba noodle bowls. What makes Tsuta’s noodles unique is that the staff uses Western ingredients like truffle oil, pureed olives, and porcini mushroom oil to enhance the flavor.

Here’s a video featuring Tsuta’s branch in Japan to whet your appetite:

See you in BGC next week!
