Cucina Pop Comes to Manila

Michelin Chef Oldani showcased his culinary skills in an open kitchen demonstration on January 18, 22, and 23 at FOO’D, his first concept diner outside Milan. Located at Shangri-La The Fort, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, the newly opened restaurant features Oldani’s signature dishes done in his distinct “Cucina Pop” style, which is his own innovative approach to traditional Italian cuisine.


155-Year Old Japanese Match Brand to Set Foot in the Philippines

Local matcha lovers will have a new place to get their fix as TSUJIRI, a famous Japanese matcha brand, is about to open its first branch in Manila. The company is known for painstakingly selecting the finest green tea leaves from Uji, Kyoto, and for using the traditional grinding method to bring out the leaves’ best aroma and flavor.

Be the first in line when TSUJIRI opens its first branch at Level 2, S Maison, Conrad Manila, Mall of Asia Complex (MOA) in Pasay City.


Salt Bae Seasons Leo’s Steak

Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio visited Salt Bae’s restaurant, the Nusr-Et Steakhouse, in Dubai and witnessed first hand the Turkish chef’s Internet-breaking salting technique. Salt Bae, or Nusret Gökçe, shared the moment in a photo posted on Instagram and the online world practically lost its mind.

For those living under a rock, Salt Bae is the Internet’s culinary sensation and the best meme to rock 2017 so far.


Zubuchon is Coming to Manila

Lechon fans in Manila are finally going to get a taste of Cebu’s crunchy, juicy,  and tasty roast pig.

Zubuchon is known for serving succulent lechon prepared with homegrown organic spices and ingredients, and without MSG, artificial flavors, or preservatives. Their much-awaited branch is expected to open at Yakal corner Talisay Street in San Antonio, Makati.

 


Tim Hortons Set to Open Its First Philippine Branch

Canada’s favorite coffee and donuts shop Tim Hortons is about to open its first store in the country. Famous for coffees, lattes, teas, and baked goods, the company promises to serve their old specialties, including the Timbits (bite-sized donuts) and Iced Capps (frozen coffee), along with new offerings.

Pinoy fans of the popular coffeehouse who wish to grab a “double-double” can expect the store to open around February. It will be located at the intersection of United Nations Avenue and San Marcelino Street in Manila.
