Filipino cuisine gets a shout-out from Bloomberg in its list of food trends to watch for in 2017. The news agency based its prediction on the increasing number of restaurants that offer native Pinoy dishes in the States.

Cinnabon’s Carrie Fisher Tribute Backfires
As the world mourns the passing of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, Cinnabon posted a Twitter tribute featuring an image of Princess Leia with a cinnamon roll as hair.
However, the tweet was not taken well in general, as Netizens called it “tacky” and in “poor taste.” The baked goods company has since deleted the post and issued an apology.
